The white wine MG Laurenzikapelle Sauvignon Blanc trocken, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Hofmann has been rated in 2019 by Ulrich Sautter with 91+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sauvignon Blanc from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
A powerful nose, in which appropriate fruit and spices blend neatly, and with vivid notes of spontaneous fermentation. On the palate it is densely interwoven, no Sauvignon kitsch here, but with noticeable phenolics, and showing a lot of traction and tension. It is unorthodox and yet exciting and youthful.
