The white wine »Tonneau« Ungstein Herrenberg Riesling trocken, vintage 2022 from the winery Weingut Karl Wegner has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
An intense golden yellow colour with an old gold sheen in the glass. A mature nose then reveals a well-integrated wood structure with cooked apple and pear notes. The impression on the palate is very opulent, with the use of wood presenting itself with an astonishing amount of freshness. The volume provides power and a long-lasting finish.
