The white wine Viognier Reserve, vintage 2016 from the winery Weingut Krebs has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 93+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Viognier
Light yellow gold with greenish reflections. A lush bouquet, almost traminer-like with hints of rose water and candied fruit, but also roasted almond, green walnut and raisin. In the mouth, the wine forms an amalgam of firm acidity, suppleness and powerful phenolics; it appears cooler than a Condrieu and yet has density and substance and great length. Plenty of further potential!
