The white wine Nierstein Ölberg Riesling GG, vintage 2023 from the winery Weingut Kühling-Gillot has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 93+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
The Ölberg doesn't come across as too well-behaved thanks to a neat reduction note, but it remains a classic with apricot and peach. Soft texture on the palate, broken up by the fine salinity of the minerality, refined phenolics, the supple side of the Roter Hang.
