The white wine Achkarren Schlossberg Chardonnay GG, vintage 2022 from the winery Weingut Michel has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Baden in Germany.
Initially almost animalistic, but this fades and gives way to savoury fruit: blood orange, roasted hazelnut, fresh wheat grain, also flint. The palate seems broad, has body and suppleness, ripe acidity, but remains controlled in alcohol, mealy phenolics and tactile minerality carry the structure.
