The red wine Apfelgarten Spätburgunder Réserve, vintage 2017 from the winery Weingut Oberhofer has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 91+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Blueberry, cinnamon and milk chocolate, a hint of herbal savouriness. Present new wood. A well-proportioned structure on the palate, sandy tannins, good phenolics ripeness with underlying tension, lots of juice, some minerality, but also a layer of suppleness that will give the wine more and more charm as it matures in the bottle.
