The red wine Admiral, vintage 2000 from the winery Weingut Pöckl has been rated in 2022 by Peter Moser with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Zweigelt, Cabernet Sauvignon, Blaufränkisch, Syrah from the region Burgenland in Austria.
Deep ruby, purple reflections, broad ochre rim. Ripe cassis nuances, a hint of black berries and cookie, delicate mint, Bordelesque notes, some caramel. Juicy, elegant, fine fruit sweetness, ripe supporting tannins, ripe plum on the finish, shows good freshness, mineral and long-lasting, has reached perfect maturity but still has further maturity and certain ageing potential.
