The red wine Admiral, vintage 2008 from the winery Weingut Pöckl has been rated in 2011 with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Zweigelt, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Lake Neusiedl in Austria.
Deep dark ruby colour, opaque core, purple reflections. Nose of fine oakiness, nougat, fine savouriness, sweet dark berry fruit, very multi-faceted and attractive bouquet. Powerful, pronounced fruit, vivid tannins, multi-layered and persistent, great length, mineral, with great development potential.

Noble wood and nougat, subtle herbal spice, sweet dark berry fruit, very multifaceted, already appealing in its youth. Powerful, fruit-forward with a sweet extract profile, pronounced tannins that give the wine the right structure, great length, still very youthful, great potential for development, presenting itself in a style somewhat reminiscent of the great Pauillacs of Bordeaux.
