The red wine Rosso e Nero, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Pöckl has been rated in 2020 by Peter Moser with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Zweigelt, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Lake Neusiedl in Austria.
Deep dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, delicate edge brightening. Black forest berry confit with fine oak savouriness in the background, a hint of plum, liquorice and candied violet. Taut, elegant, firm, ripe tannins, finely savoury, cassis notes on the finish, tobacco aftertaste, lingers well, a multi-layered food companion.
