The white wine »Edition« Hammerstein Burg Hammerstein Chardonnay trocken, vintage 2022 from the winery Weingut Scheidgen has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 89+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Mittelrhein in Germany.
Brilliant in colour. Intense on the nose. Wood spice, vanilla, ripe yellow fruit, honeydew melon, pineapple and also a slight herbal note. Melting on the palate, sweet-fruity-spicy and also with ripe fruit, all carried by good acidity. Well balanced.
