The red wine Escorial, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Stift Klosterneuburg has been rated in 2020 by Peter Moser with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties St. Laurent, Zweigelt, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Thermenregion in Austria.
Tasting Notes
Dark ruby, purple reflections, subtle brightening on the rim. Dark cherry fruit, a hint of plums with undertones of white nougat, hints of candied violets. Medium body, subtle wood spice, a hint of cassis, chocolaty finish, fine tannins, already easy to drink.
