Deep dark ruby in colour with purple reflections, and subtle brightening on the rim. On the nose, aromas of nuanced fine oak, some nougat and clove, black forest berries, notes of cassis and liquorice, and fresh orange zest. The palate is complex and tightly woven, with silky well-integrated tannins, good freshness, ripe dark cherry notes, mineral and persistent with a delicately saline finish. Good ageing potential.
