The creative slogans on the slate at Platzl bring a smile to the faces of guests and passers-by alike. There is also a new cocktail menu for the reopening of the luxury resort. It features a number of key cocktails and many excellent specials and signatures. Refreshingly different: the Caramba with tequila, passoã, grapefruit and salt. The high-quality non-alcoholic variants (Hibiscus Fizz) are also impressive.
In the Madreiter family's extravagant but very cozy "living room", everything revolves around first-class drinks and spirits. The latter include their own house brand, "Lions Spirits", created by Siegfried Herzog. But the selection of aperitifs and digestifs, cocktails, whisk(e)y, rum and gin is also impressive.
Perhaps the most beautiful bar menu in the country brings together Daniel Hatzer's own creations. The "essences of the surroundings" always play a leading role, including those from senior manager Ella Altenberger's herb garden. The signature cocktail remains the "Birchwood Negroni" with its smoky, tart-sweet flavour profile.
Exceptional, stylish, sophisticated: on the upper floor of the Hangar-7 Gesamtkunstwerk, guests are treated to exclusive cocktails and drinks, such as signatures like the Pink Lady with Hangar-7's own gin and grapefruit liqueur. The selected classics are just as impressive as (sparkling) wine cocktails and virgins.
Giving life a gin - the team around Johannes Suntinger has perfected this. A huge selection of gin is a prerequisite here, as is the best advice on juniper and tonics. Bar classics such as Whiskey Sour or Negroni are also convincing. Tip: the popular gin tasting with the boss himself.
Elegant, airy and feel-good: The bar in the nature, design & wellness hotel plays all the tunes. This also applies to the wine selection (450 labels). The cocktails from the expert bar team offer a wide variety of signatures, which are refined with homemade herbal syrups and essences from the region.
Amadeus meets agave! Bar manager Andreas Portz shows off his skills with drinks such as the "Strawberry Fields forever" (mezcal and buttermilk!). The pistachio-chocolate-vodka mix "The Mozart Identity" indulges the genius loci of Salzburg. Even society appreciates the bold concept in this dignified space: cocktail festivals all year round!
You don't even know where to look first: the design of the bar is extraordinary, the view of nature through the large glass windows is impressive. The cocktails from the experienced bar team are also a feast for the eyes, such as the signature drinks inspired by the Alps, like the "A & O" with rum, Almdudler and thyme.
With a view of the fortress and old town, this is the perfect place to end the day. Among the recommendations are specials such as "Salzburg Lemonade" with bourbon and St. Germain liqueur. The selection of Champagne is particularly large, but you can also choose from the (high-quality) full range of high-proof spirits.
The Kamin- & Hotelbar in the gourmet hotel is a popular place to go for a sophisticated aperitif as well as a digestive or cocktail. Thanks to host and sommelier Robert Rettenwender, the wines on offer are top quality, and the cocktails - from classic to exotic - are also sure to impress.
Guests at the botanical bar are given hemp drops to combat stress as well as an "overdose of vacation". The latter tastes of elderflower and is one of bar manager Tom Fix's own creations. As head mixologist, he even gives the good old margarita the taste of "Loigom" aka Leogang.
The small, charming vaulted cellar opposite the Pferdeschwemme has become a popular meeting place. The young team around Sebastian Kowatz likes to incorporate regional ingredients into the expertly mixed drinks, which are also visually appealing. Even connoisseurs are impressed by the wines - including advice from the sommelier.
In the mountains of Leogang, the focus is on imaginative signatures, such as "High Mountains" with apricot brandy and apple flavour, as well as modern interpretations of classics such as Espresso Martini with Kahlua. The pleasure experience is rounded off with gin and tonics, natural wines, long drinks and sours as well as high-quality spirits.
Inside or outside? Not an easy decision with the beautifully staged, cozy bar area of the 4-star superior hotel. Timeless classics are mixed with expertise and promise visual and taste highlights. The friendly team is well-versed and happy to accommodate guests' cocktail requests.
For seven years now, this small, fine bar has been making a splash and serving good drinks under the rocky roof. Mentor and his team add local colour with the Sporer spirits from the nearby Getreidegasse. The living room atmosphere is also more experimental with tea cocktails and the odd classic twist.
The dialectal pronunciation of Leogang - Loigam - is reflected in the name of the gin and other in-house specialties in the bar located in the middle of the room. The recipes (rum-mango lassi) and the names of the drinks are just as witty and relaxed. How about a "Guaten Mama" after the Asitz summit storm?
