The showcase of the family business of Maria and Josef Fingerlos has been attracting gourmets from all over the world for decades. Pastry chef Josef creates beautiful cakes, tarts (iced passion fruit!), petits fours, confections, Rehrücken (chocolate-almond cakes) and more.

The cute mini-coffee bar at Mozartsteg has been around since 2012 and now enjoys cult status. The deck chairs right next to the pier and the bench are usually occupied, but the good (organic) coffee, nut croissants or tarts are usually taken "to go" anyway.
The garden with a view of the Mozart statue and the Neue Residenz is famous, and the interior of the historic building, which was renovated in 1975 in the Viennese coffee-house style, is also charming. For those with a sweet tooth, there are classics such as Malakofftorte (almond torte), Gugelhupf (leavened Bundt cake) or Esterházy-Schnitte (hazelnut and meringue torte).
"To each his piece of happiness" is the motto of the Wagenleitner family. Indeed, the cakes and tarts are known beyond the limits of the city, such as the apricot streusel cake. In the cosy, modern café, you can also order petits fours or meringue pastries.
You're in the middle of things instead of just being there at the café-bar directly on the Mirabellplatz. In the summer, everything takes place in the small garden, while inside you sit under historic vaults. The coffee is "tipicamente italiano," and there are tramezzini for small appetites.
