"Sunday Opening" Bars in Styria
Three fine spirits - a passion of Oltion Mehmetaj - are combined with curry and Malabar spinach to create "Annapurna". The art of mixing meets light options at the café, which is open all day. Hang out casually in the university quarter with subtle South American sounds and a real Caribbean ambience. An enormous range of cocktails is on offer, with fruit daiquiris being a favourite. Over 150 cigars come from the best growing regions in the world, whilst tortillas, tacos and burritos serve as small appetisers.
Elegant and playful ambience without chichi, you will be spoilt by the well-trained staff, reservations are recommended. There is a large selection at the breakfast buffet and light summer specials in the cosy garden. Classic fruity mixed drinks such as "Ramazotti Rosato Spritz" are on the cocktail menu.
You can't fool Hans Prommer at the shaker. His experience results in drinks that combine currently popular techniques such as milk clarification ("Clear Piña Colada") with creativity. Liquid "Moon Landing" or a "Liquid Messino" are a joy as soon as the piece of jewellery with top food is transformed into a cocktail location.
Pleasurable moments or "just" a nightcap - anything is possible in the cosy bar with its modern design and soft blues and jazz. Wine lovers get their money's worth with champagnes and selected wines, while the cocktails have plenty of power, often just like their names: "Beauty and the Beast" or "El dulce fuego".
The largest gin bar in Styria is run by Stefan Liebmann, whose heart burns for the cuisine in the hotel's own restaurant, but also for everything with juniper. He created the "Yin Gin" himself. Individual appointments are possible for tastings of the more than 330 varieties. You can also indulge in gastronomic delights.
Located in the centre of the trendy Lendviertel district the bar is open daily from 5pm. Good wines are on the menu as well as draught beer and creative cocktails such as the "Dark 'n' Stormy" with dark rum and lime juice. Wonderful tarte flambée! Cultural programmes and film screenings take place regularly.
Nothing happens in the stylish bar without a reservation. Meet for breakfast with egg dishes, ham, cakes and delicious coffee. In addition to Prosecco, Champagne and excellent wines, you will be spoilt with classic and creative cocktails - the "Revolver" scores with whisky and Kahlúa coffee liqueur.
The restaurant has enjoyed great popularity for ages. The Frühstock offers exciting combinations. The authentic cuisine has an Asian flavour, the spicy soups are delicious and vegan dishes are also available. Tip of the house: the "Padovani Spritz" with Jameson, Prosecco, elderberry, lemon and a hint of vanilla.
Good beers, rum from the Caribbean or wines from Southern Styria and Austria, Germany and Italy are served. When it comes to drinks, you can count on classics such as Negroni, Gin Fizz or Margarita, whilst a favourite signature drink is the "Spicy Gaucha" with Green Curry Liqueur, Batida de Coco and lime.
Really hot après-ski parties with a DJ and chilled rhythms await at the foot of the Planai. Franz and Maria Böhmer's bar is also the ideal place for foodies. There's goulash soup, Asian wok, steak or giant Wiener schnitzel. You can also enjoy beer, Champagne, long drinks and creative cocktails.
