Naturbegeisterte finden im Arikok Nationalpark ein wahres Eldorado. Der Park nimmt circa. 20 Prozent der Inselfläche ein und bietet einen Rückzugsort für wilde Tiere. Frühmorgens, wenn die Temperaturen noch nicht zu heiß sind, locken die zahlreichen Wanderwege zu einer Tour. Tagsüber erkundet man den Park mit Rangern und findet Abkühlung im “Natural Pool” oder erkundet die beiden natürlichen Höhlen, in denen Fledermäuse nisten.
Aruba is home to four species of sea turtle. Local conservationists ensure that the turtles' nests are not disturbed. So far in 2023, more nests have been counted than in the whole of 2022. If you snorkel along the coast early in the morning, you'll often find the gentle sea creatures peacefully foraging for food. Other wild inhabitants include the famous flamingos that live on the private island of the Renaissance Hotel.
San Nicholas is one of the island's up-and-coming districts. The Aruba Art Fair has been held here every year since 2016. International street artists visit the island and immortalize themselves with some extraordinary works of art. If you stroll through the streets on foot, you'll find cute cafés, hip restaurants and instagrammable spots. Galleries exhibit works of art and accessories by local artists.

The island is therefore a popular travel destination all year round. Away from the main season - from May to October - Aruba is not overcrowded, which is why a trip during this period is highly recommended.
