Hollywood actress Halle Berry and tennis legend Roger Federer demonstrate a great sense of humor and a pinch of self-irony when filming the "Beautiful Autumn" video clip for Switzerland Tourism. They enjoy the landscape, culture and culinary delights of Switzerland in the fall as they take pictures around Lake Lucerne.
This is the fifth time that the Swiss Tourism Federation has been able to win Roger Federer for its campaign. The former tennis ace has been showcasing Switzerland's tourist attractions since 2021. In the new video clip "Beautiful Autumn", he is joined by US actress Halle Berry.
The humorous clip in the style of a making-of, staged by German-Swiss director Marc Forster, alternates between interview sequences with the tennis star and scenes filmed in unusual locations, for example in a panoramic gondola lift, a vintage post bus or on a ship.
The number of overnight stays in the hotel industry confirms that autumn is increasingly establishing itself as an important travel season for tourism in Switzerland thanks to its mild climate and colorful landscapes. Between September and November, overnight hotel stays increased by 10.3 % in the last five years (from 2019 to 2024), which is stronger growth than for all months of the year in the same period (+7.1 %). The country is delighted to welcome guests from the USA, the UK, Germany, India, South East Asia and Japan.
