Ozapft is! Stylish sideshows of the Oktoberfest
The Falstaff Travel editorial team provides an overview of the most elegant hotels celebrating the "Fifth Munich Season".
In Munich, everything is dominated by the 190th Oktoberfest.
Marquees, fairground rides, music, Bavarian specialties and liters of Munich beer - that's what the Wiesn has stood for since 1820.
For those who don't like it too lively but still want to celebrate the Bavarian festival in style, the Falstaff editorial team has put together a selection of the most beautiful hotels that celebrate the Oktoberfest in their own way.
How Munich's 5-star hotels celebrate Oktoberfest in style
Afternoon tea meets Oktoberfest at the "Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski"
From the end of September, afternoon tea at the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski will be a culinary Wiesn experience: classics such as Leberkas, Obatzter & Co. will be creatively reinterpreted - from Leberkas praline with malt crackers to trout with hops and asparagus salad. There's plenty of sweetness too: beer foam tartlets, Kaiserschmarrn cheesecake, chocolate pretzel tart and roasted almond mousse make for a sweet treat in a class of its own.
After-Wiesn drinks in the "falk's Bar" of the "Bayerischer Hof"
Many people are surprised every year that most of the festival tents at the Oktoberfest close at around 10.30 pm. If you fancy a nightcap, falk's Bar in the Bayerischer Hof invites you to enjoy creative drinks. The drinks menu includes the "Klaus GT Wiesn" with Tanqueray 10y, sake, Augustiner syrup and Thomas Henry tonic. Of course, a classic Oktoberfest beer is also a must.
Oktoberfest styling at "Roomers"
A beautifully braided plait and elegant make-up are a must when visiting the Oktoberfest. The "BBLOOM Styling Bar" at Roomers offers guests stylish hair and a Wiesn glow-up. Open: Monday to Sunday from 8 am to 7 pm.
Hangover treatments at "The Charles Hotel"
If you've had too much beer at the Wiesn, The Charles Hotel offers regenerating treatments. The hotel offers an invigorating Hangover & Detox treatment with a 60-minute foot, neck and head massage in combination with a moisturizing hyaluronic mask. And if you still haven't had enough of beer, you can look forward to a Brew & Renew foot ritual - a traditional beer footbath.
