Rocco Forte Hotels and Capri Group signed a management contract; Rocco Forte's first 5-star hotel is set to open in Naples in 2027.
Capri Group's success story began in 1988, when Nunzio Colella and Anna Sorrentino founded the family-run fashion company, which is now an internationally active group with over 170 stores worldwide. Committed to traditional values and the concept of sustainability, the company philosophy also coincides with Rocco Forte Hotels. The hotel brand, which is also family-owned, began its history in 1996 and has 14 individual hotels today. The latest project planned is the first Rocco Forte Hotel in Naples. It's expected to open in 2027.
The two internationally successful family businesses made this cooperation possible. The Colellas not only own the fashion brands Gutteridge and Alcott. Since 2018, they have also owned the Palazzo Caravita di Sirignano right next to the Villa Pignatelli Museum. CEO Nunzio Colella acquired it with the plan to offer guests a hotel experience that matches the charm of his city.
The aristocratic residence, built in 1535, is now being converted into a luxury hotel. Its extraordinary features, which bear witness to the building's long history, will of course be preserved. Where noble dynasties such as the Bourbons or the Prince of Sirignano once made their home, guests will be able to rest their heads on fine linen in future. The restoration was entrusted to Michele Bönan.
Guests can already look forward to 46 spacious suites and a panoramic pool on the top floor. Two restaurants, spacious private gardens and a bar are also planned. And it wouldn't be Rocco Forte if the architects didn't also have a large and high-quality spa on the agenda. Keeping the philosophy of the hotel in mind, it'll of course be a 5-star hotel.
