Pure spirit of adventure: these are the hottest travel destinations for 2024

From the Seven Mile Beach to the Volcanoes National Park and the culinary experience in Tijuana. But classics like Paris are also on trend this year.

After the corona pandemic was declared over after a long back and forth, it didn't take long for tourists to rediscover their thirst for adventure last year. They then followed this to various countries around the world to experience new and exciting things. If the Forbes Travel Guide is to be believed, exciting but above all individual travel trends are also emerging this year.

These are the top 10 travel destinations for 2024

Grand Cayman

The attractiveness of the "Seven Mile Beach" speaks for itself at this destination, but the vibrant and rich culinary scene could also round off the place. Here, restaurants such as the five-star restaurant "Blue by Eric Ripert" in the Ritz Carlton Hotel or the renowned "Library by the Sea in the Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa" as well as various specialty bars offer special culinary highlights. Due to its geographical location, fish and seafood are particularly popular.

Paris

According to the Forbes Travel Guide, Paris is also a popular vacation destination this year. The reason for this is easy to find: The "City of Love" not only impresses with its historical sights, but also with its lively culinary scene. The five-star "Royal Champagne Hotel & Spa" is a particular highlight here, as it is said to offer all the delights of French cuisine.

Rwanda

The Central African country has enjoyed great popularity among travelers for some time due to its delicious food, hospitable inhabitants and the famous gorilla treks. The country not only offers a unique natural backdrop or the impressive Volcanoes National Park, but also culinary experiences that could broaden your horizons. The "One&Only Gorilla's Nest" resort, for example, would be a great place to enjoy your morning coffee or a snack in the picturesque scenery.

Las Vegas

The "City of Sin" is not only known for its numerous casinos or exciting shows, but also for its unparalleled variety within the gastronomic scene. In addition to a wide range of entertainment, the desert city also offers a large selection of culinary experiences that will satisfy even the most discerning gourmets.

San Diego

Endless, beautiful beaches, sunshine and a mild climate: this is what the sunny coastal city of California offers its visitors. But San Diego also boasts an impressive mix of local flavors, international influences and a thriving craft food movement. While the city specializes in fish and seafood, authentic Mexican cuisine can also be found in some parts of the city. The culinary scene also offers a large selection of international restaurants, numerous cocktail bars and several hotspots for craft beer lovers.

Tijuana

Mexico's lively border town has increasingly developed into an exciting vacation destination in recent years. This is justified when you consider the vibrant culinary scene, which impresses above all with its gastronomic creativity. This city also offers a mixture of traditional Mexican cuisine and innovative culinary experiments. The streets of Tijuana are lined with small food stalls and food trucks that want to offer tourists and locals alike authentic Mexican flavors.

Koh Samui

The picturesque island in the Gulf of Thailand attracts visitors not only with its beaches and lush landscapes, but also with its diverse culinary scene. The island also offers a wide range of dishes with authentic Thai flavors. The numerous street stalls and cookshops allow tourists to embark on a culinary journey of discovery in an impressive setting. In addition to fish and seafood, travelers can also look forward to vegetarian dishes or smoothie bowls.
