The typical red wine grape of the Karst between Trieste and the Solvent border in eastern Italy. It has always been grown there on a few hectares of vineyards. Thanks to the red earth, the calcareous karst soil and the altitude, Terrano, also known as Teran, which is said to be one of the many varieties of autochthonous Refosco, offers a unique character among the world's red wines.
