"Sunday Opening" Bars in Dusseldorf
David Rippen learnt his craft from the bottom up, and today the passionate mixologist is considered a master of his trade. What he and his team conjure up in guests' glasses, whether classic or modern, is high class. His best specialities are his own creations "Cypress Dill" and "Pimms my Ride".
In a cosy atmosphere, guests are not only offered classic and modern creative cocktails - rum plays an important role in the cosy neighbourhood bar. More than 50 varieties are on the shelves, and one speciality is the "Ti Punch", the national drink of the French Antilles.
Yuto Nagasawa not only has one of the most beautiful bars in Düsseldorf, his range in the brick interior is also a who's who of the international bar scene. The extensive and well thought-out menu features legendary cocktail classics as well as newcomers and imaginative original creations.
The restaurant at a dizzying height not only offers a magnificent view over the city, but also skilfully cultivates bar and restaurant culture in an elegant ambience. First-class cocktails, mocktails and drinks are served alongside authentic Japanese fusion-style cuisine, as well as wines and, of course, sake.
France taken to the extreme - in the centre of Düsseldorf. Everything that is poured into the glasses in the chic rooftop bar on the 17th floor of the 25hours Hotel comes from France. Even drinks such as Manhattan or Negroni are made exclusively from French spirits.
The always cheerful young bar team is half the battle in this appealingly cosy location. The other trump card is the 210 or so first-class cocktails, which cover the entire international repertoire. The 80 types of rum and 70 whisk(e)ys, including some rarities, are the icing on the cake.
