Aperol Spritz - The original recipe

The ever-popular spritz drink remains a staple of la dolce vita – regardless of season. Served in countless variations, this is the classic version.

Ingredients (1 servings)
6 cl Aperol
6 cl White wine
1 splash(es) Soda
1 piece(s) Orange slice

Fill a bulbous (wine) glass with ice cubes. Use equal parts Aperol and wine – 6 cl each is a guideline. Add the white wine first, then the Aperol and finally, the soda. The latter should ideally come out of a siphonto ensure that all ingredients are well-mixed. Decorate with a slice of orange.

Tip:

The "Veneziano" variant is more bubbly – to make it, simply replace the white wine with prosecco or champagne.
