Since 2016, La Manufacture in Gundeli, not far from the railway station, has been serving first-class, homemade burgers and tartines - as well as matching starters and side dishes. The menu is also available for takeaway and delivery, and there is also a large brunch menu on Saturdays and Sundays.

This small take-away right next to SBB station serves sushi, Zukedon rice bowls with marinated fish and bento boxes that taste like you're in Japan. It's best to pre-order your menu by phone, so you get freshly rolled sushi with minimal waiting times.

Basel's Nón Lá Restaurant is a true El Dorado for lovers of Vietnamese cuisine. Monday to Friday there is a varied buffet and a small part of the evening menu is on offer. A variety of Vietnamese dishes are available in the evenings and on Saturdays.

Tenzan brings delicious Japanese cuisine to the Basel suburb of Binningen. Whether traditional or Californian-inspired, all rice rolls taste good here. But ramen fans will also get their money's worth, as the Japanese noodle soups are also excellent.

Butterfly Restaurant works with meat from the local butcher. You can tell; the quality of the Turkish grilled specialities is above average. The bread is also handmade and some of the best kebabs in town are served here.
