The Pfannenstielhof has been a hereditary farm owned by the Pfeifer family for over 200 years. Today, Veronika and Johannes Pfeifer have dedicated themselves entirely to the two indigenous varieties of the region, Vernatsch and Lagrein. Their St. Magdalener wine made from them is accessible when young, but also proves time and again to have an astonishing longevity. The "Pfannenstiel" even matures for over five years and does not need to shy away from comparison with great international wines. The rosé, the "Lagrein vom Boden" and the "Lagrein Riserva" give this grape variety further brilliant performances.
