The Mumelter family has been at the helm of the Griesbauerhof farm, which lies at the foot of the rolling hills of St. Magdalena in Rentsch near Bolzano, since 1785. For more than two centuries, the knowledge of careful and gentle processing of the wines has matured - both in the vineyard and in the cellar. The family sees it as their duty to preserve the habitat at the Erbhof through sustainable viticulture. Here, people live for viticulture, both yesterday and today. The red and white wines produced tell the story of the family and their great love of nature.

The Griesbauerhof is a historic wine farm located in the heart of the St. Magdalener wine-growing region on the southern slopes of the Rittnerberg in Bolzano. It has been run by the Mumelter family for several generations. The grapes for the wine production come from the farm's own four hectares of vineyards. Most of them are located in the immediate vicinity of the farm. Vernatsch, Lagrein and Cabernet Sauvignon grow there. There is also a vineyard south of Bolzano, which is planted with the Merlot and Lagrein grape varieties. Another vineyard is located in the municipality of Eppan. There, the grapes for the white wines are produced from the Pinot Blanc and Ruländer varieties. The main focus of the winery is on the production of indigenous red wines, Vernatsch and Lagrein.
