The Homburg Kallmuth is probably the most impressive steep slope in Franconia. Wine has been grown here for almost 2000 years, and even the Romans cultivated medicinal herbs in the favorable climate - which still grow between the vines today and serve as namesakes for the excellent, mineral GGs. We also like the Riesling from the Rheingau branch in Hallgarten. In the Erste Lagen, the Silvaner has a little more residual sweetness than expected. Conclusion: The triad of minerality/fine phenolics/clear fruit is convincing. We are seeing a qualitative upward trend.
