The red wine »The Edge Saperavi«, vintage 2018 from the winery Tiko Estate has been rated in 2023 by Peter Moser with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Saperavi from the region Kakheti in Georgia.
Deep dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, subtle brightening on the rim. Some nougat, fine wood spice, black forest berries, ripe heart cherries, inviting bouquet. Substantial, good complexity but a fruity freshness too, supporting, ripe tannins, mineral and salty in the finish with a touch of cherry too. Discreet fruit, good length, certain ageing potential.
