The red wine Herdade de Gâmbia Tinto, vintage 2020 from the winery Sociedade Agrícola Boas Quintas, LDA has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Touriga Nacional, Syrah, Tempranillo
A rich, balsamic, herbal and savoury aroma flows from the glass. Pinimenthol (eucalyptus), black pepper, wax and very ripe black cherry. In the mouth, the supple, even oily base carries a rather fine but also dense tannin. The powerful structure is well balanced, juiciness and spiciness providing the wine with sufficient tension despite the rather discreet acidity.
