The sparkling wine Essence Rosé Franciacorta DOCG Brut, vintage 2021 from the winery Antica Fratta has been rated in 2025 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Pinot Nero, Chardonnay from the region Lombardia in Italy.
Bright, brilliant salmon pink with fine bubbles. Delicate yeasty notes open on the nose, followed by small wild berries and crisp apple, with a hint of maquis behind. Direct and gripping on the palate, with a rich mousse, a thrilling amount of tension, concentrated fruit, concludes with sea salt.
