The red wine Poggio ai Ginepri Toscana IGT, vintage 2023 from the winery Argentiera has been rated in 2025 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot from the region Livorno in Italy.
Deep ruby red colour with a dark core. Lots of red and dark fruits stand out. Cassis, blackberry, plum, slightly savoury flavours of cedar and black pepper. Fresh and juicy on the palate with well-integrated tannins, followed by flavours of tobacco and some leather. Very harmonious between fruit, wood and savouriness.
