Tasting Notes
Light chestnut brown with deep reddish reflections, narrow, light, slightly yellowish rim. A concentrated bouquet: dates, mocha, nuts and brittle, but also cherry with chocolate, all interwoven with a slight spiciness: pepper, horseradish, black salsify. On the one hand an enormous acidity, on the other an overwhelming fullness and concentration, viscous like cordial, expansive sweetness, strong alcohol, the spice appears massive, the fruit delicate, but this can be deceptive. We will only find out what this wine can do in decades. (MS).
