The red wine Poggetto di Sopra Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG, vintage 2021 from the winery Avignonesi has been rated in 2025 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Brilliant ruby red in colour with brightening on the rim. On the nose, aromas of blackberry and nutmeg with a hint of graphite. There is plenty of cherry and some marzipan on the palate, which is rich, with ripe tannins, harmonious acidity, and a finely spiced finish.
