The red wine Barolo DOCG Castellero, vintage 2020 from the winery Barale Fratelli has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Barolo in Italy.
Bright garnet red with a brightening rim. Elegant aromas of dried rose petals, red currant, some violets. Behind this, sweet mocha. Tight, well-integrated tannins on the palate, already sweetish. Good palate drive and harmonious. Retronasally slightly bitter. Long lasting finish. Will benefit from further ageing.
