The white wine Liebenstein Weinberg Dolomiten IGT, vintage 2020 from the winery Baron Longo has been rated in 2023 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Chardonnay, Weißburgunder from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Pale straw yellow. The nose shows toast and wood, cold smoke, then yellow fruit, candied banana, sugared lemon peel, hazelnuts and cold butter - a heady mix. Smooth and polished on the palate, it builds quietly but in many layers, with lively well-integrated acidity. A slightly phenolic finish has a salty touch.
