The red wine Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, vintage 2011 from the winery Biondi-Santi Tenuta Greppo has been rated in 2016 by Othmar Kiem with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Brunello di Montalcino in Italy.
Luminous bright garnet red in colour. The finely drawn nose opens with aromas of goji berries, some sealing wax, then lots of sour cherry and raspberry. Very juicy initially and when developing on the palate, with notes of raspberry and cherry, opening with pronounced, but well integrated, finely-meshed tannins, very long finish.
