The red wine Izadi Reserva Familiar Rioja Reserva, vintage 2019 from the winery Bodegas Izadi has been rated in 2023 by Peter Moser with 93+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region La Rioja in Spain.
Intensely chocolate on the nose, dark berry fruit remains rather in the background. The palate still seems sinewy, at the transition of the youthful stage of maturity into a first drinking maturity, the tannin is fine-grained and of good density, a lively Rioja acidity gives the wine a little bit of depth, juiciness and elegance. With a piece of meat on the plate already good to drink - but also equipped with certain ageing potential for 15 years or more.
