The red wine Venta Jalón Reserva Especial Rioja DOCa, vintage 2014 from the winery Bodegas Rioja Vega has been rated in 2020 by Dominik Vombach, Benjamin Herzog, Peter Moser und Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Graciano, Tempranillo from the region La Rioja in Spain.
Bitter chocolate, thyme and wormwood, some wood, nougat, and a touch of animalistic tones. Plump and soft on the palate, silky melted tannin, fine acidity, lots of juiciness, quite round and smooth, delicate mineral underpinnings. Lastly a fruit finish that just begins to open.
