The red wine Mondovar Rioja Gran Reserva, vintage 2014 from the winery Bodegas Riojanas has been rated in 2022 by Peter Moser, Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region La Rioja in Spain.
A savoury, open berry fruit integrates a subtle wood note that emphasizes the maturity. In the mouth, the wine has good volume, silky tannins line the palate, the still nuanced fruit and a fine acid nerve give length. The light-hearted extract gives the wine a certain ageing potential of 5, 10 or 15 years.
