The red wine Torralvo Tinto Fino Ribera del Duero DO, vintage 2014 from the winery Bodegas Vizcarra has been rated in 2017 by Rainer Schäfer, Thomas Schwitalla und Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Tempranillo from the region Castile and Leon in Spain.
Smells like black cherry syrup, fig jam, milk chocolate. Starts soft and buttery on the palate, with almost oily motifs in the background, and with fine-grained tannins in carefully dosed quantities. A fairly accessible wine with a modern, fruit-driven style. Lime-mineral notes are not missing, however.
