The red wine Vega Sindoa Merlot Navarra DO, vintage 2001 from the winery Bodegas y Viñedos Nekeas has been rated in 2006 with Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Navarre in Spain.
Opaque color. Initially a little impure nose, sulphuric, nutty notes underneath, then some blackberry jam and dried fruit after vigorous shaking. Complex on the palate, mineral, delicate sugar residue, taut tannins, in itself a good wine, but should not present itself like this after four years in the bottle. Should be decanted for several hours.
