Tasting Notes
Very dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, faint brightening on the rim. Nuances of blackcurrant, dark forest berries and a hint of caramel cherry, savoury nuances, some leather. Full-bodied, tight-knit, creamy fruit texture, very well integrated tannins, pleasant freshness, very balanced and despite its youth already easy to drink, confident long finish and secure future potential. Once well decanted a great food wine.
More about the tastingDeep purple, dark core, opaque colour, purple reflections. Nuances of freshly roasted mocha, fine oak nuances, black forest berries, nougat and cassis, multi-layered bouquet. Full-bodied and pronounced in fruit, black truffled Pomerolanian notes, juicy blueberry nuances, ripe cherries, firm, still somewhat demanding tannin. Has a multi-faceted, very long finish, will need a few more years to fully develop; certainly ageing potential for several decades.
