The red wine Taurasi Riserva DOCG, vintage 2017 from the winery Borgodangelo has been rated in 2025 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Aglianico from the region Campania in Italy.
Rich, shiny ruby colour. Very clear and intense fruit of ripe dark cherries and plums, with plenty of blackberry and savoury cedar in the background. Hearty and gripping on the palate, shows great fullness, then opens up with lots of hearty tannins, somewhat angular and edgy, but definitely exciting. For lovers of authentic terroir wines!
