The red wine Roggio dei Roveri Refosco Riserva DOC, vintage 2012 from the winery Bosco del Merlo has been rated in 2017 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Grauburgunder from the region Veneto in Italy.
Cool, balsamic herbal tones, menthol, also blueberry compote. Powerful on the palate, with firm but not harsh tannins, currently much more structure than fruit. The broad body, a layer of suppleness and a stable nerve intertwine. The wine needs further bottle ageing to develop its Reserva character even more clearly.
