The red wine Barolo DOCG Rocche di Castiglione, vintage 2019 from the winery Brovia has been rated in 2023 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Barolo in Italy.
Clear ruby with a slight garnet sheen. Opens with light smoky components, then lots of plum and wild raspberry, some truffle, exciting. Round and substantial in the flow, spreads out richly, lots of ripe fruit, embedded in a rich framework of grippy tannin, lingers very long.
