The sweet and dessert wine Südtiroler Gewürztraminer Vendemmia Tardiva Epokale DOC, vintage 2009 from the winery Kellerei Tramin has been rated in 2018 by Simon Staffler, Othmar Kiem with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Gewürztraminer from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Bright, intense golden yellow with a light green sheen. Impressive nose of ripe mango, dried orange peel, some bergamot, as well as cinnamon and coriander, seductive interplay. Smooth and round on the palate, rich ripe fruit, notes of mango, maple cordial, vivid sweetness, but is very well balanced by acidity and subtle bitter notes, a rarity.
