The rosé wine Il Rogito IGT, vintage 2018 from the winery Cantine del Notaio has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region Basilicata in Italy.
A comparatively dark colour, bright cherry red. The fragrance offers rosehip, black tea and ripe sweet cherry fruit. The palate is smoothly grounded and on it the rosé version of an Aglianico tannin, grippy, firm, even slightly astringent with intensely savoury flavours on the finish, yet also fruit and nerve. A striking rosé, whose structure puts many a light red wine in the shade.
