The red wine Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG, vintage 2019 from the winery Carpineto has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Canaiolo nero from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Dark ruby with garnet red edges. Dense nose of black cherry, leather, undergrowth and a hint of marzipan. Soft on the palate, with velvety tannins, fruity sweetness of stewed cherry, fresh and quite persistent.
More about the tastingDark luminous ruby red. On the nose, intense aromas of wood, curry powder, tar and sealing wax. On the palate, a lot of tough, drying tannin. Unfortunately not a fun or enjoyable style.
