The red wine CastelGiocondo Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, vintage 2017 from the winery Castelgiocondo has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
It has a bright ruby red colour. There are aramas of clover, ripe cherry, cedar wood, and oranges, with leather and black tea in the background. On the palate it has tightly woven tannins and fine resinous notes, a slight saltiness, showing a great deal of polish, and then lingering a little on the finish.
