The red wine Sammarco Toscana Rosso IGT, vintage 2018 from the winery Castello dei Rampolla has been rated in 2023 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Dark, luminous, rich ruby red. Precise and fragrant nose of ripe raspberry, cassis, plus fine fleshy hints, as well as honey, reverberating with meadow herbs. On the palate purist and with grippy tannin, nice tension on earthy notes, juicy, in the finish a firm drive.
